Alfred Hernandez Artwork
With music by Alfred Hernandez, soothing trance drone music inspired by Sheila Chandra's abonecronedrone. This artwork spans three decades of drawings and paintings and collage. Much of the work has been influenced by artists like Brueghal, Bosch, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Max Ernst, Ray Harryhausen, pre-Columbian art of the Americas, religious icons and Native American artwork, especially by Huichol Indians. Throughout the years I have created art that taps my dreams and the unconscious through Surrealism, fantastic art, and automatic drawing. As a person raised Catholic and a lover of nature and a respect for Tribal spirituality, I try to bring it all together with landscapes and images that range from the Apocalyptic, as in the Book of Revelations of the Bible, to my vision of early Christian communities and brotherly love. These pieces are meant to be allegorical and open to interpretation.
